In a family full of athletes, Tafts enthusiasm for sports in the world started at a young age. While she competed in numerous sports throughout college and at university, she determined to make a go of it as a journalist. Taft's professional career started at Fox Sports North in the role of a sideline journalist and regional affiliate after she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism at Boston University. Along with covering sports Taft was also a social media contributors and filled the gaps for a variety of games. The position was swiftly transferred into Fox Sports 1 News and Highlights. Taft reported from the field at numerous championships being employed by FS1. As a journalist in the college sidelines football, Taft was promoted to become the main college football reporter along with Gus Johnson. Her claim to fame arrived when she was invited to take over in as the moderator for the well-known TV series Skip and Shannon Undisputed in 2018 a job she still holds until today.
